theplan.it is the official web portal of THE PLAN Magazine, one of the most prestigious international magazines dedicated to architecture and design. It works as a thematic search engine for architecture and hosts a complete historical archive of projects, alongside new original content.
What does THE PLAN Magazine focus on?
The magazine covers architecture, design, interiors, and technologies, offering in-depth insights into projects through construction details, high-quality images, and graphics. Each issue includes editorial critiques and a focus on the relationship between design and construction.
In which languages is THE PLAN available?
The magazine is published in three monolingual editions: Italian, English, and Chinese. The web portal content is available in Italian and English.
When is THE PLAN published?
THE PLAN is published in 8 issues per year: March, April, May, June, September, October, November, December/January. Each issue is available at Italian newsstands within the first week of the cover month and is shipped to subscribers by post within the same month. Internationally, it can be purchased at airport transit stores and major specialized bookstores in over 40 countries worldwide starting from the end of the cover month.
Can I cancel or withdraw from a subscription?
Subscribers expressly acknowledge that, pursuant to Article 59, paragraph 1, letter (o) of the Italian Consumer Code, once a digital subscription has been activated and the supply of digital content has begun, the right of withdrawal is excluded.
How can I subscribe to or gift a subscription to THE PLAN Magazine?
You can subscribe to a print or digital edition directly through the STORE section of the website. Select the magazine you wish to subscribe to or give as a gift, enter your details, and – if it is a gift – select a different shipping address (the recipient’s). Finally, choose your preferred payment method from the available options. Payments are secure and managed through the main available systems.
How can I purchase back issues or special editions?
By visiting the online STORE, you can purchase back issues in print or digital format (Magazine section), as well as special editions such as Interior Design & Contract and Outdoor, or volumes from The Plan Editions, Politecnica University Press, or The Plan Journal.
How long does it take to activate a subscription?
Subscriptions purchased on this website are registered immediately after completing the purchase process. You will receive a confirmation email with all subscription details.
The subscription starts with the first available issue according to the magazine’s publishing schedule. For digital subscriptions, the first available issue can be accessed through your personal account area.
Is it possible to track magazine shipments?
Magazines are delivered directly by Poste Italiane. Unfortunately, tracking is currently not available for subscription magazine shipments.
Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely. A subscription is a thoughtful, original, and long-lasting gift. During the purchase process, you can specify a different delivery address and provide the recipient’s details along with your own.
Can I subscribe from abroad (outside Italy)?
To receive or gift a subscription outside Italy, simply access international rates by switching the website language to English (top right). All subscription prices already include shipping costs.
Are there shipping and delivery fees?
For print subscriptions, shipping costs are included in the subscription price. For the purchase of individual volumes, shipping costs are calculated and displayed before order completion.
Will I receive supplements or special issues with my subscription?
Subscription offers generally include any supplements and special issues planned in the editorial schedule, as specified in the subscription offer.
I didn’t receive an issue or it arrived damaged. What should I do?
If an issue did not arrive or arrived damaged, please contact us at abbonamenti@theplan.it or subscriptions@theplan.it, providing your complete personal details so we can verify the information. We will carry out the necessary checks and respond as soon as possible.
How can I change my address?
You can update your address by contacting the Subscription department at abbonamenti@theplan.it or subscriptions@theplan.it.
How can I renew my subscription?
Before your subscription expires, you will receive a dedicated renewal offer along with the last three issues. You can renew according to the instructions provided, or alternatively log into your personal area on the website and renew online via the Subscriptions section.
Is automatic subscription renewal available?
No, automatic subscription renewal is not currently available. However, you can manually renew your subscription at any time through your personal area on the website via the Subscriptions section.
Can I use a different billing name than the one on my account?
Yes. In your shopping cart, simply select the option “Bill to a different recipient” to enter new billing information. If you need to bill items to multiple different names, you must place a separate order for each billing entity, even when using the same account (for example, during "3x2" Award promotions).
Can I publish my project on THE PLAN?
Yes – theplan.it provides architects and designers with the opportunity to promote their work. After registering, projects can be submitted by uploading the required materials in the reserved area. The editorial team reviews all submissions for possible publication in the webzine.
How can I search for specific projects on the website?
The portal features a thematic internal search engine that allows users to filter projects by typology, architect, company, materials, location, or keywords.
What is THE PLAN Award?
THE PLAN Award is an annual international prize recognizing excellence in architecture, interior design, and urban planning. Architects and designers can apply across multiple award categories. More information is available on theplan.it in the Award section.
What is THE PLAN Real Estate Award?
THE PLAN Real Estate Award is an international prize organized by THE PLAN to highlight completed and future real estate development projects.The award is open to professionals and companies within the real estate sector, including: real estate developers, asset management companies (SGR), investment firms, management companies, general contractors, real estate advisors, local authorities, public administrations, and public-private joint ventures. Do you organize seminars or events?
