Under the shared tagline “Inspire more. Create More. Together.”, Ideal Standard and Villeroy & Boch – both Villeroy & Boch Group brands – joined forces for the first time in a single exhibition space at ISH 2025 in Frankfurt, which concluded on March 21.
Driven by their commitment to design, innovation, elegance, and craftsmanship, both brands showcased some of their most iconic bathroom furnishings that combine creativity and versatility. Designed by the creative teams from both brands – Christian Haas, Gesa Hansen, Ludovica Serafini, and Roberto Palomba – and focused on spaciousness, minimalist luxury, and comfort, the booth reflected all these principles. The bathroom recreated in the booth was a small open-plan space designed for comfortable living, enhanced by the skillful use of materials, contemporary styles, and the latest innovations.
Among the biggest product launches at the Frankfurt show, and one of its standout collections, was Skyla, a bathroom range with organic, rounded shapes and clean lines. This collection is highly flexible, offering a wide selection of design variations and eight distinct colors.
Another drawcard was La Dolce Vita®, a product range that channels the forms of nature and Italian style into ceramic washbasins and sanitary fixtures with tapered shapes and graceful curves. “We’ve aimed to incorporate elements with a touch of ’50s retro to recapture the spirit of that era,” explained Roberto Palomba. “We want to create products with practical, functional designs that can make life a little sweeter.”
Another highlight was the unveiling of the new additions to the Alu+ range, now produced using recycled aluminum. “Today more than ever, designers need to take an ethical and responsible approach, making sustainability a central part of their work,” added Palomba. “Respect for the environment is no longer optional: it’s essential for a sustainable future.”
According to Christian Haas and Gesa Hansen, quality, sustainability, and durability have eclipsed trends and fashion as the cornerstones of modern design. “There’s a growing shift toward products that are built to last,” they said. “Materials, forms, finishes – every element can play a decisive role in a product’s overall sustainability.”
